A few years ago I had an encounter with Jesus that changed my life. I had been a Christian for years, but it didn't feel real. After years of white-knuckle Christianity I found myself falling apart - my addictions were taking over my life and my marriage was falling apart due entirely to my own selfishness. My life was limned by the boundaries of my obsession with my own pain.

That's when Jesus intervened. I came in contact with a ministry called Journey Canada, which was a safe place where I could really talk about my life and feelings. Talking and praying with others was what I needed to finally walk out of my shame and into a relationship with Jesus. Since then, nothing has been the same.
